Emma Raducanu makes step towards top 50 return after semifinal in Seoul

Emma Raducanu played her best event last week in Seoul reaching her maiden semi-final of the year and she's up in the rankings.

New rankings were published yesterday as they are every Monday. The British player made a fairly decent jump to number 66 from number 77 which is a jump of 11 spots. It came after Raducanu made the semi-finals in Seoul winning three matches in a row for the first time this year.

Disaster struck in the final though as Raducanu experienced pain which forced her to abandon plans of finishing the match against Ostapekno. It was a solid match for her as she won the opening set and was up a break in the second set after which she injured herself.

She lost the second set and was down 0-3 in the final one when she retired. It's unclear when she will return to play again as the extent of her injury is currently unknown.
