The 2025 ATP season will kick off with the Hong Kong Open which is scheduled to run from December 30, 2024 till January 5, 2025, with the tournament often used as warm-up event for the Australian Open.
An ATP 250 event, the Hong Kong Open has a rich history of champions ranging from Rod Laver, Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi and Juan Carlos Ferrero. Russian dynamo Andrey Rublev prevailed at the 2024 edition, and the World No.8 will be back to defend his title.
Next Gen star Arthur Fils has been confirmed for the event, and the Frenchman has his sights set on reaching new heights following his impressive round of 16 performance at the Paris Masters in October. The 20-year old could pose a threat to top seed Rublev, who lost all of his matches at the recent ATP Finals event in Turin.
Lorenzo Musetti is also scheduled to play at the Hong Kong Open; the Italian is always a threat when firing on all cylinders. Joining Musetti are his compatriots, Lorenzo Sonego and Luciano Darderi. The always entertaining Denis Shapovalov has been confirmed for the event, as well as rising Chinese star Juncheng Shang. Below is the list of entrants.
