The 2024 Shanghai Masters will serve as the final leg of the Asian swing of the ATP tour, as players will flock to Shanghai, China for the celebrated event from October 2-13, 2024.
An ATP Masters 1000 event, the Shanghai Masters has a rich history with several decorated champions. Previous winners include Andy Murray, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic. From 2009 till 2013, the tournament was voted as the ATP Masters 1000 Tournament of the Year by the ATP players. It therefore comes as no surprise that several of the top-ranked players will be vying for the prestigious title.
Polish star Hubert Hurkacz won his second Masters 1000 last year in Shanghai, and the former World No.6 will be hoping for a repeat performance this season. However, World No.1 Jannik Sinner will lead the opposition, alongside 24-time Grand Slam titlist Novak Djokovic and reigning Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz.
The 96-man singles field will also feature the likes of Daniil Medvedev, Alexander Zverev and Stefanos Tsitsipas. Americans Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton and Taylor Fritz are scheduled to compete. Additionally, the local crowd will have more reason to cheer when home heroes Zhizhen Zhang and Juncheng Shang take to the court. Below is the list of entrants.
