Although the first match of the Adria Tour will be played on 13th June in Belgrade, the whole event will start already a day before. On 12th June, there will be an opening ceremony with a program for children as well as musical entertainment.
Then, Novak Djokovic and Jelena Jankovic will meet Nenad Zimonjic and Olga Danilovic in the exhibition mixed doubles match. The former world number 1, Jankovic said: “I am glad that I will join this wonderful tennis event at Novak’s invitation. It is about Novak’s great idea, which he implemented to the delight of the tennis audience. It will be a great spectacle. I am happy to play in front of the home crowd in our Belgrade. See you soon!"
The first day of the event will finish at around 19:00 CET with the tournament draw. The Adria Tour will be played in a round-robin format. In each event, players will be divided into 2 groups of 4 players. The winners of the groups will meet in the final of each event.
The matches will be also played in a faster format than we know from the regular tennis tournaments. Matches will be played in a 'Fast 4' format in best of 3 sets and first to 4 games to win the set.
The first tournament should kick-off in Belgrade, Serbia from 13th - 14th June as the entry list is already known. The next destination will be Zadar, Croatia where the players will compete from 20th - 21st June. Also, fans in Montenegro will see high-quality tennis as players will meet in 2 cities from 27th - 28th June. The last destination will be Banja Luka in Bosna and Herzegovina from 3rd - 4th July.
The matches will be played in 2 sessions, day session, and evening session. On the first day, there will be 4 matches during each session. On the second day, there will be 4 matches during the day session and the final during the evening session.
