Roger Federer had to wait the whole day to step on the court but once he did, he didn't waste any time in dispatching Krajinovic and advancing to the 3rd round

After beating Steve Johnson in round 1 Roger spoke to the media and reflected on how he controlled the match against Johnson. He certainly did the same at the beginning of the match versus Krajinovic. Roger started furiously hitting his shots including his serve and jumping out to an early lead. That early lead turned to a quick 6-1 victory of the 1st set.
The second set saw an improved play from Krajinovic who managed to hold on to his serve for the majority of the set. On the other hand, he had no chance on Roger's serve as the Swiss was dominant as ever. Late in the set though, Krajinovic failed to reciprocate the level of play from the beginning and lost his serve. Federer then easily close the set out 6-4.
Early in the 3rd set Federer once again broke his opponent and won his own serve. After another service game, Krajinovic called a medical timeout. It didn't seem anything too serious because it lasted only a few minutes. Federer continued to play strongly winning the next game without dropping a point.
Federer continued to play well and broke his opponent once more before closing out the set 6-1. It was a spectacular display from Roger who continues marching on similarly to last year. Whether he will go further of the quarterfinal remains to be seen.
