Jo-Wilfried Tsonga will retire from professional tennis after Roland Garros, he has confirmed in an interview with the All In Group.
The former top five star sealed 18 titles in his career and reached the final of Australian Open and semi-finals at the French Open and Wimbledon.
This in an era dominated by the Big Four in tennis (Djokovic, Federer, Nadal and Murray). He has constantly battled injuries as of late but returned to action earlier this season at the Open Sud de France only to now take this decision to retire on home soil.
"I'm happy, I feel good about myself. I'm also a bit sad because I'm leaving the thing that has been the driving force in my life and that has offered me extraordinary things. But I gave everything I had in this thing. I'm stopping thinking that I've gone all the way," he said on the interview below.
