Frances Tiafoe secures Team World's first Laver Cup triumph 13-8

With a stunning comeback, Frances Tiafoe secured the first Laver Cup triumph of Team World as they beat Team Europe 13-8.

Team World was up 8-4 before the final day but three victories on the final day secure the Laver Cup for the 'visitors'. Team World never triumphed before but this time they got in and in what fashion. From Felix Auger-Aliassime beating Djokovic in the previous match to Tiafoe coming back to beat Tsitsipas, it was magical.

Tsitsipas came out very focused in this one playing some amazing tennis against Tiafoe who had a slow start to the match. It was 6-1 for Tsitsipas in the opening set but the second set was much better. It's not unheard of for Tiafoe to start playing better once the match goes on and that is what happened here.

The second set featured a superb tiebreak which was won by Tiafoe 13-11. He saved four match points in that epic tiebreak to force a 3rd set but he also wasted two set points before converting the 3rd one. The match tiebreak was another exciting affair as early on Tiafoe proved better early. He jumped out to an 8-4 lead but Tsitsipas nearly pulled it back.

In the end he did finish it off 10-8.
