Fritz' girlfriend Morgan Riddle proud of how boyfriend handled hostile Roland Garros crowd: "Never predicted it was going to be that bad"

American tennis player Taylor Fritz had to deal with a raucous tennis crowd during his second round match at Roland Garros (French Open), but his girlfriend Morgan Riddle is proud of the way he handled it.

Fritz emerged victorious after defeating hometown favorite Arthur Rinderknech, but was lambasted by boos from the partisan crowd during the match. Riddle seemed distraught during the encounter, and voiced her opinion soon after the match.

"idk it was pretty shocking tbh," she wrote on Instagram. "We knew it was going to be bad but never predicted it was going to be THAT bad. Regardless, I think Taylor handled it exceptionally well and ultimately gave back to the crowd what they had been giving him for 3 hours."

The boos remained even after the match, and it took the organizers a few minutes to silence the crowd before Fritz's post-match interview on court.
