Get ready tennis enthusiasts: Rublev and Tiafoe to make waves at Hong Kong Open

The 2024 Hong Kong Open will feature a strong lineup, as Andrey Rublev and Frances Tiafoe have been confirmed for the event, according to tournament organizers.

With the Australian Open a few weeks away, the Hong Kong Open will be used as a warmup event. It will run from January 1-7, 2024 at Victoria Park, with the event returning to the ATP tour for the first time in over 20 years.

Rublev, Tiafoe, among top stars to headline event

World No.5 Rublev will kick off his 2024 campaign with an appearance at the Hong Kong Open, an event that has an impressive list of past champions including Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi, Pat Cash, Ivan Lendl and Jimmy Connors.

The top-seeded Russian will be joined by World No.16 Tiafoe, who rose to prominence after defeating Rafael Nadal en route to a semifinal appearance at the 2022 US Open. The American will be joined by Russia's Karen Khachanov, in addition to Croat Marin Cilic, who will be making his comeback to the tour after being sidelined by a knee injury.
