Bautista Agut and Goffin to play in Open Sud de France final

Roberto Bautista Agut and David Goffin won their matches Saturday and advanced to the Open Sud de France final in Montpellier.

It was an eventful semifinal day in Montpellier as we saw two great performances from Bautista Agut and Goffin. The Open Sud de France final played tomorrow will be a proper delight with the top two seeds set to clash for the trophy. For Goffin, it was a hard-fought victory against Egor Gerasimov that required over two hours of play. It started well for Goffin who won the opening set 6-4 before losing the next 6-2. In the end, he won the match by winning the final set with 6-4. It is his first final in one and half year and a result which he needed.

He will face Roberto Bautista Agut in the final who had a much easier time in his match against Gojowczyk. The German played well early on holding his serve rather comfortably. By the end of the set, Bautista started figuring his opponent out and once he broke him to take the first 7-5 it was a rather quick and easy finish. The 2d set was a complete demolition where Gojowczyk could not do anything and Bautista ended in with 6-1.

All in all, we saw two strong performances from the top see who set up the best possible final. It is going to be played tomorrow so be ready for our preview and report.
