Former Australian rules star Kane Cornes has criticized tennis
star
Nick Kyrgios for joining the Only Fans website. The 28-year-old is
currently on the sidelines as he continues recovering from an
injury sustained in 2022.
Recently, news broke that Kyrgios has decided to join a digital
platform that became famous for promoting adult content in the past. Cornes was recently quoted in a report where he took a dig
at the former world number 10 for finding an easy way out and not fighting it
out.
“Nick Kyrgios has joined Only Fans. I don’t know if it
happened just before I went away or when I was away but this is the most embarrassing
story for Australian sports personally that I saw in the little break,” he said.
“In American sports, I just love going to the US because of the
coverage of sports on offer in American is all time. Like when you are there
for NBA season mixed in with the NFL season, there is Ice Hockey on, its just
the best. And all of the games are live and they are supported so well. “All they talk about is athletes’ legacies. They have all
got the money, they have all got the fame, they’ve all got the mass social
media following, it is about their legacy. Even Lebron [James], the guy worth a
billion dollars.
“He has won four titles. He is the best or the second-best
player of all time all they talk about is his legacy. That’s what they talk about.
What legacy are you leaving behind or what kind of conversation there will be
about you in 10 years time. “What’s Kyrgios’ legacy going to be? Is he the immature brat
who never grow up? The guy who has always been looking for an easy way out?
When things get tough, he quits? Like Only Fans. Great payday, well done but he
is probably going to be the greatest waste of talent we've ever seen.

“He is not coming back now. He is not playing at the
Australian Open. He doesn’t have a ranking and I just think he is going to be one
of the great wastes as he hasn’t been prepared to dig in and do the hard work
and fight.”
