The ATP Rankings have been updated for yet another week as there has been a fair bit of movement considering that only really minor ATP tournaments have been played without the big names in tow. Jannik Sinner though is closing in on 60 weeks as World No.1.
Sinner currently sits on 59 weeks at the top of the tree and remains on top. Both Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz will miss the upcoming Canadian Open so we likely won't see them again until at least the Cincinnati Open, the next ATP 1000 tournament.
Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz and Jack Draper all round out the top five currently. Novak Djokovic also doesn't move at World No.6 and neither does Lorenzo Musetti. Sinner is on 12,030 points followed by Alcaraz with 8,600. The sting in the tail for Sinner is that he defends the next two major titles so any slip ups will invite Alcaraz in to pounce.
So while he is guaranteed a little while longer as World No.1, it may not last entirely forever. Ben Shelton also was a mover this week as he sealed a new career high of World No.8 sitting on 3,330 points and is only a short amount behind Musetti so there is scope to move up. Both play this week.
Shelton's rise came at the expense of Holger Rune who dropped to World No.9 after losing points. He lost 90 this week so sits on 3,250 points. Andrey Rublev was the only top 10 player in action as he made the semi-finals in Los Cabos but he remains as World No.10.

Canada rises

The highlights came further down the rankings with Denis Shapovalov defeating Aleksandar Kovacevic 6-4, 6-2 to win the Los Cabos Open. It was a fourth career title for the Canadian as well as a second of the year and he is certainly one to watch in regards to ATP Rankings for the rest of the year. He jumped five spots in the latest ATP Rankings to sit in the top 30 again.
He is now World No.28. A far cry from his best previously but for a player who has wrangled with injury issues aplenty it is a great amount of solace that he can still mix it with the best. It was a great run for the Canadian. On a weekend when Canada starred as Bianca Andreescu and Felix Auger-Aliassime albeit unranked also brought home the Hopman Cup.

Superb Shapovalov rises to the occasion on a weekend for Canadian success.
Ironically only a week before the Canadian Open in Montreal and Toronto so it is very much a theme that Canada has starred. While for Aleksandar Kovacevic who lost to Shapovalov in the Los Cabos final, he has sealed a new career high of World No.66. It is a second career final. But a second of the year ironically losing to another Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime back in January.
But that constant progression shows that he is very much a player to watch and one certainly on the rise right now. Alexander Bublik also continued his excellent run of form.
The Kazakh who has been taking the good markably more seriously in the past six to eight months has benefited. He won a sixth career title and his first on clay. He saw off Juan Manuel Cerundolo to win at Swiss Open Gstaad. He's also back in the top 30 climbing four spots.
Ironically at the start of the week, he marveled that he needed to get to Gstaad earlier in order to adapt to the conditions and adapt he did in style. He now heads to Kitzbuhel where he will be one of the top names and will aim for another title. Cerundolo in losing that final also rises up to World No.81 28 spots up.
