Ben Shelton recognizes Roger Federer as his style inspiration, drawing inspiration from the Swiss maestro's clothing choices and the elegance with which he dresses on every occasion. The 21-year-old tennis player responded to an interview with On, mentioning that his friends are 'jelous' of the attire he wears.

Ranked No. 17 in the world, Shelton emerged as one of the standout performers on the Tour this year, reaching the quarterfinals at the Australian Open and the semifinals at the US Open. Additionally, he clinched his maiden title at the ATP 500 Japan Open, securing a spot in the top-20 for the first time in his career.

Federer's influence on Shelton's

Shelton has earned the respect of fans and colleagues alike. With success on the court came interviews, exhibitions, and participation in various promotional tennis activities. "A lot of the brands worn by other players don't do much outside of traditional clothing, so my friends on tour are definitely jealous of the gradient kit I wear. They all want to touch it. There's this great tradition and a rich history in tennis."

The American acknowledged that, both on and off the Tour, he looks to Federer for inspiration in his attire and style: “I draw inspiration for style from different people, from other athletes and from Instagram. Roger is one of those guys who can do it all. He can do it on the court, he can do it off the court, he can do it at the Met Gala, he can do it at Wimbledon," he said.

Shelton reveals his favorite tennis player

The American recently shared the tennis players he follows and named Federer as his favorite: "I have been following Rafael Nadal for a long time and I have tried to steal some secrets from him, but my favorite has always been Roger Federer,” Shelton said. "I admired Rafa and I think sometimes, when I find myself fighting on the pitch, I take on traits of him on the pitch," he added.
