Jannik Sinner has been making noise on the ATP circuit, with the Italian being particularly dominant on indoor hard courts this season.
The 20-year old won his fifth ATP Tour title last Sunday in Antwerp, becoming the youngest player to win that many trophies since Novak Djokovic in 2007. After his impressive second round victory over Reilly Opelka at the ongoing Erste Bank Open Vienna event, Sinner has now won 18 straight sets on indoor hardcourts.
His dominance on that surface has not gone unnoticed, with fans and even fellow ATP players paying tribute to the Italian youngster. Australian
Nick Kyrgios took to social media to applaud Sinner's efforts.
“He is another level," wrote Kyrgios. "That’s for sure, played him in Washington doubles. Never played someone who hit the ball as hard."
Sinner’s latest win in Vienna has increased his chances of qualifying for the Nitto
ATP Finals in Turin next month. He has risen back up the standings to 10th in the race after overtaking Indian Wells champion Cameron Norrie.
