"He is making a reputation that he will one day regret": Wawrinka responds to Rune feud after Indian Wells spat

Holger Rune and Stan Wawrinka once again engaged in some words with both reacting in an interesting way following the match and now Wawrinka added some commentary to it.

It all started last year at the Paris Masters when Wawrinka told Rune to stop being such a baby on the court. The Danish player has a reputation for whining when things don't go his way and Wawrinka didn't particularly like it. He did the same in this match but this time Wawrinka won and he didn't say anything to Rune.

Rune questioned him on that with Wawrinka brushed it aside. He reacted late on Twitter by laughing at the video of the exchange while Rune bashed fans in an Instagram story but didn't comment on that specific exchange. Now, Wawrinka added some words from his side on the whole matter:

"We played in Bercy, I had a match point, he played well and he beat me before winning the tournament. Since then, it has really evolved. It's just that if I feel better. Opponents feel it, it gives them more doubts. He is in a particular period. Between what he does, what he wants to do, and where he is now, he is looking for himself a little."

He added:

"There is not much to say there. The only thing I can add is that he is a young player, a very great champion already with enormous potential. But he is making a reputation in the locker rooms that he will one day regret."
