Although he is yet to win a title this season,
Denis Shapovalov has had some impressive results with his unique style of play making him a constant threat to the top players.
Austrian coach Gunter Bresnik, who has trained
Dominic Thiem in the past and is currently working with the resurgent
Gael Monfils, has named Shapovalov as his favorite player on the ATP Tour.
"The player I love the most on the tour is Denis Shapovalov, because he plays the most attractive tennis for me," revealed Bresnik. "In terms of play and technique, his performance is the best I have seen in a long time, Lorenzo Musetti and Holger Rune are also interesting to me."
Shapovalov is currently ranked at World No.13, and the 22-year old has a slim chance of making the ATP Finals in Turin, as he sits at 15th place in the singles race for qualification at the year-ending event.
