Novak Djokovic wants to win 30 majors says his former coach Bogdan Obradovic who believes that his former player has many years left.
Djokovic recently won his 21st grand slam trophy at Wimbledon but it seems unlikely he will add a 22nd this year cause his US Open participation is up in the air. He would like to play but his former coach Bogdan Obradovic is not really worried. He understands him well having coached him from an early age and they are still in touch.
He shared how they met:
“I talked to Novak Djokovic when he was nine years old, that’s when we met for the first time. After that, when he was 13, we started working together for the next 18 years, which is a very long time. He told me every time and I know his idea. He wants to get to the number 30, which is three-zero. That’s what Novak wants."
Obradovic thinks Djokovic will play for 5 more years after this year:
“So, for the next five years, he will play and he will probably have 20 opportunities to get to that number, to 30 Grand Slam trophies. Let’s see.”
