Daniil Medvedev expects
Rafael Nadal to play Roland despite not knowing what kind of condition he is in right now but if he does, he's the favourite according to the Russian.
Medvedev and Nadal played before so the Russian is fully aware of what Rafael Nadal can do on a tennis court. He's also fully aware of what he can do when he's playing for a grand slam and that's why he thinks that Nadal is the favourite at
Roland Garros if he plays. Asked about the Spaniard who is set to miss the Barcelona Open next week too, Medvedev explained that he expects him to play in Paris:
“Rafa isn’t well ranked, I might meet him before, but I believe he will play French Open, although I’m not in his body. I don’t want to talk for him. He won 14 times this Grand Slam, so he will be the favorite.”
Medvedev was supposed to play in Barcelona next week alongside Nadal but neither will be present. Nadal is injured and the Russian pulled out after a solid run in Monte-Carlo.
