The ATP 250 Chile Open is set to take place next week, running from February 24 to March 1, 2025. The prize money and points distribution have been confirmed, with a record-breaking prize of over $100,000 for the champion.
Held in Santiago, Chile, at San Carlos de Apoquindo Stadium, the tournament will feature local favourites Alejandro Tabilo and Nicolás Jarry, who will aim to bring home a Chilean champion. Last year, Tabilo fell short in the final against Argentina’s Sebastián Báez.
Once again, Argentine players are expected to be the main challengers, with Francisco Cerúndolo and Tomás Martín Etcheverry joining the defending champion Báez. Additionally, Spanish clay-court specialists such as Pedro Martínez and Jaume Munar will be strong contenders.
The winner will receive 250 ATP ranking points and $103,455, while the runner-up will earn 165 points and $60,350. Semifinalists will claim just over half of the runner-up's prize, with $35,480 and 100 points. Players reaching the second round will take home $11,935 and 25 ranking points, while those eliminated in the first round will leave Santiago with $7,295 but no ATP points.
