🤯 From qualies to t̶h̶e̶ ̶R̶1̶6̶ the QF! Hanfmann keeps improving the run of his life, defeating seed No. 6 Rublev in three sets! ⚡ #IBI23 | @atptour
Yannick Hanfmann continues a superb run for German players as of late and after a great run in Madrid, he has also done the same at the Rome Open.
Hanfmann reached the Last 32 after coming through qualifying at the Caja Magica losing to his compatriot, Daniel Altmaier, but this time it is the former flying the flag.
He sealed a superb win over Andrey Rublev 7-6, 4-6, 6-3, with Alexander Zverev or Daniil Medvedev next up.
Saying post match that he feels 'dangerous against anyone', he has certainly proved so this week but interestingly will still have to play qualifying for Roland Garros.
