Poland’s
Hubert Hurkacz once again showcased his powerful
service skills during the 2023 ATP season.
The 26-year-old is famous for his powerful serve and stats
clearly backed him as he was by far the player with most aces in 2023 in the
men’s singles category. Hurkacz ended up producing 1,031 aces in just 69 matches
which averages around 14.94 aces per match.
The next best after Hurkacz in the 2023 season was America’s
Taylor Fritz who ended up producing as many as 692 aces in 77 matches. Russia’s
Andrey Rublev is third on the list with 616 aces.
He is followed by Germany’s Alexander Zverev (613), world number
three Daniil Medvedev (547), Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas (547), Alexander
Bublik (543) and America’s Ben Shelton (505) aces.
Hurkacz had a good year at the highest level where he ended
up lifting two ATP titles. The first of his victory came in the French city of Marseille
where he defeated local boy Benjamin Bonzi in the final with a score of 6-3,
7-6.
His second ATP title
in 2023 came a few months later in October in China's city of Shanghai where he defeated Russia’s Rublev in the final with
a score of 6-3, 3-6, 7-6.
