Andy Roddick followed Rick Macci in praising
Carlos Alcaraz as the most complete teenage player that he's ever seen and both of them are right.
We've never seen a player that is this complete at such a young age. There is nothing that the Spaniard can't do though his game has flaws. His serve could be better, his consistency could also be a bit better but at his absolute best, Alcaraz has all the tools to easily beat any player on the Tour.
It's just not something that you will see that often from a player who is 19-20 years old. A few weeks ago, famous coach Macci explained that Alcaraz is the most complete player. Roddick compared him to legendary players like Federer and Nadal explaining the difference between all of them:
“I think he’s the most complete 19-year-old male tennis player I’ve ever seen. Federer didn’t win his 1st major til he was 21. Rafa Nadal won at 17 but wasn’t great on all surfaces til he was 20 or 22. Alcaraz, there’s really no weakness…”
