Veronika Kudermetova will face
Iga Swiatek in the
Madrid Open semi-final and she talked about her game ahead of their match later today.
Kudermetova produced a crazy effort to take down Jessica Pegula in the previous round and set up a clash with Swiatek. She didn't play that well this year but found some inspiration in Madrid however taking down Swiatek will be really hard. Talking about the Polish superstar, Kudermetova said that her style resembles ATP tennis:
"I mean, I think she plays like, you know, the men's stylish game because she does a lot of kick, she tries to play very aggressively. I mean, if I'm looking for that, it's not giving me like, confidence, but I will try to show my best, try to do the right things on the court."
It allows Kudermetova to plan what to do and how to do as she admitted that she knows exactly what she needs to do to win. She sounds very confident but that's the point, she needs to be otherwise she's in trouble:
"And I think this will be very important, just, you know, doesn't matter what was the score, but I know what I need to do."
