"He's the one" - Tiafoe praises Alcaraz after another milestone

Carlos Alcaraz won yet another trophy in 2022 today with the Barcelona Open the latest in his trophy cabinet and he's been gaining fans at a rapid pace.

Many players have come out to praise the Spanish super talent after his meteoric rise in the past few months. On April 25, 2005, Rafa had become a part of the Top 10 of ATP rankings. Now, exactly 17 years later, history is repeating itself.

ATP released stats of the same day, different years of the two Spanish players. It stated, “Same Place. Same Day. Different 18yr old Spaniard April 25th, 2005 – Rafael Nadal breaks into the Top 10 after winning in Barcelona and April 25th, 2022- Carlos Alcaraz breaks into the Top 10 after Barcelona”.

Tiafoe shared the stats on his Instagram story and made his admiration for the young Spaniard clear. He stated, “He’s the one”. Carlos’s role model is Rafael Nadal.
