The Asian swing portion of the 2025 ATP season will see players stop in Chengdu, China for the
Chengdu Open, which is scheduled to run from September 17-23, 2025.
An ATP 250 event, the Chengdu Open features a 28-man singles field and a doubles draw of 16 teams. The tournament gives players and international fans an opportunity to experience the rich culture that Chengdu has to offer, in addition to some high-quality tennis.
The 2024 edition saw China's Shang Juncheng make history by becoming the first Chinese player to win an ATP title on home soil. Previous champions include former World No.2 Alexander Zverev, Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta and Australian Bernard Tomic.
This year's tournament will feature Italian
Lorenzo Musetti as one of the top-ranked players scheduled to compete in Chengdu. Musetti will be accompanied by compatriots Luciano Darderi and Lorenzo Sonego, with the latter always a threat when he's in form.
Draper hoping to regain fitness, Monfils in the mix
Great Britain's
Jack Draper is in a race against time to compete in Chengdu, after withdrawing from his US Open second round match last week. The World No.5 pulled out of Great Britain's upcoming Davis Cup tie after reaggravating his injury, but will hope to recover in time for the ATP 250 event.
Frenchman Gael Monfils is also scheduled to appear at the event. The Chengdu Open will be broadcast worldwide, with Sky TV having access for viewers in the UK. In the US, the tournament can be seen on Tennis Channel.
The Chengdu Open is shown on beIN Sports Australia, while Canada will broadcast the event on TSN. Eurosport France will have access for local French viewers while in Italy it is shown on Sky Italia. Below is how you can watch the Chengdu Open.
