Following the conclusion of the ongoing US Open, stars of the ATP will travel to Hangzhou, China for the 2025
Hangzhou Open, which is scheduled to run from September 17-23.
An ATP 250 event, the Hangzhou Open was introduced to the ATP Tour in 2024. The inaugural edition saw 2014 US Open champion Marin Cilic defeat China's Zhizhen Zhang in the final, much to the disappointment of the home crowd.
A hidden gem on the ATP Tour, the Hangzhou Open will see 28 singles players compete for the title. Additionally, there will be 16 doubles teams battling it out to prove who will leave Hangzhou as the superior squad this season.
Russian
Karen Khachanov is the top seed at the event. Despite a shocking second round upset to Polish player Kamil Majchrzak at the 2025 US Open, the World No.9 has an impressive 29-18 match record this season.
Two former Grand Slam champions set to compete
Khachanov will be joined by compatriot
Daniil Medvedev, who won his sole Grand Slam title at the 2021 US Open. Medvedev has had a disappointing 2025 season, and recently parted ways with long-time coach Gilles Cervara after his first round loss at Flushing Meadows.
Defending champion Marin Cilic is slated to compete in Hangzhou. The Croatian won the biggest title of his career at the 2014 US Open, but has struggled with injury over the last few years.
The 2025 Hangzhou Open will be broadcast globally for fans outside of China to catch the action Sky TV will have access for those in the United Kingdom, whereas The Tennis Channel will broadcast the event for fans in the United States.
