The
Winston-Salem Open is the next tournament to take place on the ATP Calendar and is due to take place between 17-23 August, 2025 on the hard courts of North Carolina as the last stop and the only one on the ATP Tour over the next week.
A tournament established in 2011, it is the final tournament before the US Open and is held within the Wake Forest Tennis Complex, a state of the art college facility adjacent to the football stadium for Wake Forest. Lorenzo Sonego is the defending champion and he returns this year in his quest to defend his crown. He is joined by two leading names with
Stefanos Tsitsipas taking a wildcard in recent weeks.
In addition
Tallon Griekspoor in a similar ranking hole as Tsitsipas has also taken a late spot in the event. They are joined by
Luciano Darderi,
Gabriel Diallo, Lorenzo Sonego, Matteo Arnaldi, Nuno Borges among others. Marcos Giron, Brandon Holt and Stefan Dostanic have also taken late spots. Nicolas Jarry, Borna Coric among others are also among those at the foot of the Entry List.
Withdrawals wise, it is led by Arthur Fils who won't be involved. He only just made his comeback for the first time since Roland Garros recently. He is joined on that list of those out by Alex Michelsen, Corentin Moutet, Fabian Marozsan, Learner Tien, Tomas Martin Etcheverry, Daniel Altmaier, Benjamin Bonzi and Laslo Djere.
In regards to how to watch the tournament, it is the same for all ATP 250 tournaments. In the UK, it is shown on Sky TV. While in the US, this tournament will be shown on Tennis Channel. Albeit it will be slightly different to Cincinnati, Canada or the US Open for instance where it is the only tournament. It will share air time as a result with Monterrey and Tennis in the Land in Cleveland on the WTA Calendar.
Elsewhere, it is shown on beIN Sports Australia throughout the tournament. Canada it will be on TSN for those wanting to catch Gabriel Diallo. While in France it will be on Eurosport France one of the only countries in Europe where it won't be on a semblance of Sky TV. Italy it is shown on Sky Italia. While in Greece for those wanting to watch Tsitsipas, it will be OTE.
In Netherlands, it will be Ziggo Sport for those wanting to watch Griekspoor. While in Spain, it is Telefonica/Movistar. Further information depending on territory is below.
