What dreams are made of ☀️
Following his first Grand Slam title win at the 2024 Australian Open, Jannik Sinner gave fans a glimpse into his very private life as he disclosed how he treated himself to celebrate his historic victory.
The 22-year old defeated Daniil Medvedev in the final to clinch the title in Melbourne, soon after beating 10-time Australian Open champion Novak Djokovic in the semifinals. Sinner has been on a meteoric rise, as his recent form saw him capture the title at the Rotterdam Open last week to climb to a career-high ranking of World No.3.
Despite his young age, the Italian has shied away from social media as he rarely divulges information about his personal life. Although Sinner has amassed over $20 million in career prize money, he has maintained a considerate relationship with money. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Sinner elaborated on his relationship with money and revealed he did indeed treat himself to something following his victory Down Under.
"Before buying something I always look at the price, always. If I go to a restaurant and the pasta with meat sauce costs much more than the one with tomato sauce, I take the one with tomato sauce," said Sinner. "Not because I'm stingy, but because I respect money.
"The only gift I gave myself is the car (referring to his ABT modified Audi RS6). It's a nice car, but you don't think of a Ferrari, a Lamborghini or a Maserati."
