Former top 20 ranked player Hyeon Chung lost his singles return at the Seoul Challenger getting beaten by Jordan Thompson 6-2 6-4.
The South Korean player has been out of tennis for a long time due to various injuries but slowly he's attempting a comeback.
This was his first singles action in years and it was an okay match. Obviously, he was very rusty and he was taking on a really solid player in Jordan Thompson who recently defeated Tsitsipas in Indian Wells.
He showed a better level in the second set compared to the first set which was expected as he found a better rhythm the more he played.
The serve was a particular problem for him as he hit his first one only 57 % of the time and committed six double faults. Not the best of matches but a first single match in years so that's progress.
