Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal have lived one of the most incredible rivalries in the history of sport worldwide. Today the latter has announced his retirement and, with the permission of Novak Djokovic, the one who was his great rival for much of his career has sent him a warm greeting through his 'X' account:
"What a career, Rafa! I always hoped this day would never come. Thank you for the unforgettable memories and all your incredible achievements in the game we love. It's been an incredible honor," he wrote on Instagram.
Recall that Rafa Nadal was part of Roger Federer's farewell in the Laver Cup in which we lived unforgettable moments. The Spaniard has decided to retire in the Davis Cup in Malaga, at home, where he hopes to win his sixth title in the competition next November.
