"I don't remember you winning bro": Frances Tiafoe jokingly quips to Carlos Alcaraz ahead of Indian Wells title defence

Carlos Alcaraz has been stepping up the preparation for his title defence at Indian Wells. Alcaraz recently visited the venue of his triumph and decided to take a picture of himself holding the trophy on the wall of defending champions.

After posting the video of him doing so on Instagram, captioned "happy to be back," Frances Tiafoe joking responded, saying: "I don't remember you winning bro."

Alcaraz quipped back: "hahahaha me neither, that's why I took a picture of that photo." The wall features women's singles defending champion Elena Rybakina, men's doubles winners Matthew Ebden and Rohan Bopanna, as well as women's doubles champions Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova.

Alcaraz will hope he is back to full fitness for the start of the Sunshine Double after being forced to withdraw from the Rio Open. Indian Wells begins on Friday 8 March.
