Andy Murray took part in his first Laver Cup this year and he spoke with Cadena SER about his emotions during the event.
Murray was in London taking part in the Laver Cup and it was an experience he was thankful for. The Brit got to see Roger Federer say goodybe to tennis and it was quite emotional overall. In an interview with Cadena SER in Gijon, Murray explained why he felt emotional:
‘’I felt quite emotional because we were doing a lot of interviews and being asked about the last 15 years of our careers, although I was standing still, I never thought so much about this period of my life, the games I played and things like that.’’
He also spoke about Federer's final match and how fitting it was:
"I think it was a nice way to end his career playing alongside his biggest rival and friend Rafa. I think it was very nice to see it, it was very special. ‘When Roger finished, seeing him with his family, the feelings of the players, of the public was very special.’’
