Andy Murray in the early hours of Sunday morning will begin the defence of his gold medal which he has won the last two times the
Olympic Games has been staged.
This being in London and in Rio but his first round opponent will be rising Canadian star,
Felix Auger-Aliassime but the Brit who is a lot different player than his last gold medal hopes to still utilise his experience.
"I've prepared as best as I can. I have tough draws in singles and doubles but I think I have a chance," he said.
"If I can get through a round or two I'll start to feel more comfortable. I also have the experience of playing in the Olympics, which I can use to my advantage"
There is anxiety though in the Team GB camp which Murray can feel with Dan Evans and Johanna Konta falling victim to a positive Covid-19 test and called the nature of it 'brutal'.
"It happened to me before the Australian Open and I was gutted," he continued.
"Thankfully I was able to compete in another Grand Slam a few months later, but if you've been preparing for something for five years and something like that to happens to you it would be brutal.
"So there is an anxiousness, but from what I've seen everyone is taking the protoco
