Novak Djokovic has never been one to shy away from making his winning desires know and ahead of the ATP Finals in London he did it once more.
Novak Djokovic is entering this year ATP Finals on a title drought. The last few events that he played were as good as he would want them to be so his desire to win the ATP Finals are strong as ever. He did achieve one goal which was important to him, ending the year as the best tennis player in the world. Speaking about all of that he said:
“Coming into the tournament knowing I already clinched the year-end No. 1 release some of the pressure definitely, but at the same time, it doesn’t change what I hope to achieve in this tournament and why I’m here. I really want to win every single match that I get to play and try to get my hands on the trophy and I want this trophy as much as anyone here…"
Speaking about the Finals Djokovic said that they represent the pinnacle of their sport. He said:
“The [Nitto] ATP Finals is probably the biggest event that we have in our sport. It’s probably the ultimate challenge in a season: facing the top eight guys of the year in a group stage format… it’s one of the most special events that we have in our sport.”
He also spoke about the fact that the last time he plays in the O2 arena will be withouth fans. He said:
"It will be strange to give a farewell to [The O2] without crowds." But he will compete as fiercely as they were fans in the stands.
