Elena Rybakina will contest the Australian Open final on Saturday and after making her way comfortably to the final, she's convinced that she can repeat the Wimbledon glory.
Nobody expected Rybakina to win Wimbledon but she was able to do so by playing some amazing tennis for a fortnight. She's doing it again and she's only a match away from winning the Australian Open. There is very little doubt that Rybakina can do it, and she talked about that after the match:
“We prepared well for this. I was expecting good results, and my peak form came out at the Australian Open. I’m calm on the outside, but on the inside, I’m nervous. I’m trying not to show my emotions, and it’s not easy. In the beginning at Wimbledon, the atmosphere made me nervous. Now, it’s time to enjoy [myself]. I’ve done really well here and go in with no expectations and do my best. I’m confident that I’ve done it once, and I [can do it] again."
Asked about facing Sabalenka, Rybakina said:
