The 2023 Rio Open will be the 9th edition of the event and it will feature a strong entry list headlined by last year's champion Carlos Alcaraz who bested Diego Schwartzman in the final.
It's not a surprise that the event is going to have a strong entry list because it's an ATP 500 event and those don't happen that often during the year. As said above Alcaraz is the defending champion and he'll be back this year to try and defend his trophy. He'll have some decent challengers like Musetti who bested him in an ATP 500 final before.
He did it last year in Hamburg and we'll see if he can do it again. Some other players that will take part are Cameron Norrie and Dominic Thiem. Both of them can play well on clay which will make them tough opponents. Check out the rest of the entry list below. The event runs from February 20th till February 26th.
