Although he is regarded as one of the best tennis players in history, Novak Djokovic has also been branded as emotional and temperamental on court, a label that the Serbian would like to shed.
The World No.1 has battled rivals Roger Federer and Rafale Nadal for the bulk of his career, but stands apart from the legendary duo in terms of his volatility on court. Djokovic is known for his lengthy outbursts on court, ranging from yelling at umpires to taunting the crowd and destroying multiple rackets.
The 24-time Grand Slam champion recently stay down with for an interview with Jon Wertheim on CBS News 60 Minutes. During their discussion, he spoke about his outbursts, stating he was aware of his behavior but considered it a flaw as he too was human.
"Well, look, you know, I, I have broken rackets in my (laugh) life, you know," admitted Djokovic. "No doubt about it. And I'm not proud about that. And I'm ashamed of myself when I do that, no doubt. But at the same time, you know, I accept myself as a flawed human being."
