Iga Swiatek created another double bagel win in her career and this one came at
Roland Garros (French Open) over Xinyu Wang in the 3rd round of the event.
The match itself was pretty short as she didn't even spend an hour on the court. After the match, Swiatek spoke about focusing on every point in the match even if she's up big which allowed her to win so dominantly:
"For sure I'm happy. It was a really a solid performance from me. It's not easy to win and kind of keep your focus so I'm really that I was really disciplined and I'm pretty happy with my performance."
She was asked about putting a lot of pressure on her opponents in every single point which ultimately allows you to win with a 6-0 6-0 score. She responded with a longish rant losing her train of thought in the middle of it and exclaiming that she's boring:
"Every point is important for me, on the highest level every point matters. I really win be focused no matter what the situation in the match is. I can use that skill later when I have really tight matches and tight games. You always have to kind of be disciplined....I'm sorry I'm boring."
She also talked about sightseeing through Paris even though she wasn't able to do it this year yet due to her practices before the event. Last year she went to Versailles enjoying the whole experience but this year she didn't go anywhere yet. One thing on her to-do list is a boat ride on the Seine in order to see Paris from all the different perspectives.
That one is one she didn't see yet.
