"It benefits nobody to have him at 7 in the world" - Andy Roddick after Djokovic claims 90th career trophy

Novak Djokovic claimed his 90th career trophy earlier today and Roddick reacted to it by pointing something out.

Novak Djokovic contested the Astana Open final earlier today and he proved better than Stefanos Tsitsipas in two sets. Reacting to it on Twitter, Roddick pointed out that he's glad Djokovic is racking up all these points because having the Serbian ranked 7th in the world benefits nobody.

Obviously, that is due to a specific situation this year with the rankings as Wimbledon points don't count for all players. Many have complained about it and many would benefit greatly from having those points in their total. Djokovic would not be ranked number 7 if he had 2000 points from Wimbledon that he earned.

Roddick pointed that out:

"I’m happy he’s putting these points on the board. It benefits nobody to have him at 7 in the world when his level hasn’t changed. He should have his points from Wimbledon."
