Bianca Andreescu used to visualize herself winning the grand slam trophy which is something she thinks helped her achieve it.
Andreescu won the US Open as a teenager beating none other than Serena Williams in the final. It was supposed to be the start of an amazing career but injuries put that on hold for a while with only recently Andreescu finding some good form.
During a Q and A at the San Diego Open Andreescu explained her visualizing her way to a grand slam trophy:
"Every day waking up I had a picture of me holding every Grand Slam title, so I manifested it from a very young age."
She further commented how she kept herself going against all those that doubted her:
"There were obviously some doubters, you know, I go to school, I'd carry my tennis bag, people would make fun of me and being a girl, they're like, 'You can't play the sport and stuff like that'. And that really brought me down for a bit and my mom always told me not to pay too much attention to people like that."
She concluded with:
"I guess my advice is don't pay attention to people like that and just go after your dreams as much as you can and surround yourself with amazing people."
