"It's always the umpire that makes me look like a bad guy": Rune calls umpire a 'joke' on crucial point in Djokovic clash

Holger Rune lashed out against umpire Lahyani at the Rome Open following his decision to award a point to Novak Djokovic after mistaking a mark to be good while it was wide.

Rune stopped play during his match against Djokovic at 40-30 in the game. He called the ball out however umpire Lahyani felt it was in after checking the mark. The replay on TV showed that the ball was indeed out however the point was awarded to Djokovic. It was a deuce and after that, Rune lost his cool losing the game and lashing out on the umpire.

He said:

"Listen to me, listen to me! You are an absolute joke man. Do you get punished for your mistakes? Can you answer my question? Because when we make a mistake, we get a fine, but you don't. So please respect the player. It's an absolute joke, this guy is a joke. And again it's umpire that makes me look like a bad guy, it's always the umpire that makes me look like a bad guy."
