Toni Nadal admitted that
Stefanos Tsitsipas has a point about Kyrgios being annoying and provocative but he was also surprised that the Greek player was not able to handle it.
Stefanos Tsitsipas and
Nick Kyrgios had a heated clash at
Wimbledon that resulted in Kyrgios winning the match in four sets. There was a lot of drama in this one with Tsitsipas nearly hitting a fan in the stands with a ball, him hitting Kyrgios on purpose with a ball and Kyrgios calling for a default. After the match, Tsitsipas accused Kyrgios of being a bully and annoying.
He also admitted he was aiming at him a couple of times. Kyrgios responded by saying Tsitsipas was simply soft. Toni Nadal was asked about all of that and he gave his verdict on the matter by taking neither one's side. He said:
"It is true that Kyrgios is too annoying, and provocative and that he can easily drive his opponents out of their mind. However, I was greatly surprised that Tsitsipas (couldn't deal) with those situations"
Mats Wilander was another one who took a neutral stance simply saying taht both had a point but he did not want to see thigns like taht in tennis.
