A main talking point in Nick Kyrgios’ press conference after defeating Brandon Nakashima to reach the quarter finals at Wimbledon was his choice not to wear all white in his post match interview breaking tournament rules as a result.
When asked why he opted to go for the red cap and Jordan’s, he replied: “Because I do what I want.”
“No, I’m not above the rules,” he added. “I just like wearing my Jordans. I’ll wear some Triple Whites tomorrow.
“Even after Wimbledon no one else really walks with Jordans on the court. I don’t moan [about criticism]. I love it.”
“More attention for me. What’s that’s saying? Any publicity is good publicity, right?”
