Jack Draper has had a period where he has struggled with injuries, being forced to spend time away from the court after a hugely impressive rise in tennis. When he comes back, he will have none other than former world number one and three-time Grand Slam champion Andy Murray alongside him after splitting with Jamie Delgado.
The pair began working together in October 2026 that Delgado, who used to coach Murray, would be by Draper's side ahead of his highly anticipated return. However, things seem to not have worked out with Draper leaping at the opportunity of having Murray by his side.
"I am very grateful for everything Jamie Delgado has done for me over these past six months," a Draper statement read. "He is a world-class coach and a great man."
Following from this, he confirmed that Murray would be taking the reigns. "In the interim, I will continue to be supported by the excellent team at the LTA, with the addition of Andy Murray, who will be supporting me throughout the grasscourt season."
The former world number four had risen through the ranks after an amazing 2025. He won the title at Indian Wells before reaching the final of the Madrid Open. His progression would halt in its tracks after a bruised humerus at Wimbledon stunted his time on court. He went to defend his US Open semi-final from the year before but would withdraw from the event in the second round.
He missed the rest of the year before delaying his comeback to after the Australian swing. A notable run at Indian Wells where he defeated Novak Djokovic enroute to the quarterfinals is the only real noteworthy run. He is now out for the rest of the clay swing after picking up a knee injury at the Barcelona Open.
When he comes back, Murray will be by his side. The Scot had previously hinted at a return to coaching, formerly part of Djokovic's team for around six months in 2025. British tennis will be hugely intrigued by this new partnership, expected to take full flight at Wimbledon.
