The Laver Cup will be played over the weekend next week and with one spot remaining to be filled both teams announced who will fill them. For team Europe, the alternate will be Feliciano Lopez who is still playing tennis despite not being the youngest amongst players. This will be his first appearance in the Laver Cup and quite possibly his last due to his age.
For team World, we will have Laver Cup mainstay Jack Sock who has been one of the best performers in team World in prior Laver Cups. Sock is far away from his best level but the American always enjoyed playing home and in front of big crowds and both are guaranteed in Boston. He is also a very skilled doubles player which should come in handy.
The Laver Cup will begin on Sepmteber 24th and we will have daily coverage of the event here.
