Jenson Brooksby is currently 5th in the ATP Race to Milan with the young American looking for points at the
Indian Wells Masters.
Brooksby announced himself early in the year at the Miami Masters qualifying for the main draw and winning a match. His steady rise continued throughout the year culminating with a great run at the US Open. He lost to Djokovic in 4 sets but the American positioned himself well for the ATP Next Gen Finals in Milan later this year.
Brookby is currently 5th in the race ahead of some big names that are also looking for a spot in Milan. The American has 877 points ahead of Musetti who has 876, Cerundolo who has 673 and Nakashima who was 615. Holger Rune at number 9 is also not far behind with the Danish player looking better and better every week and he should be able to make the cut.
It's an interesting fight to see develop especially at the Indian Wells where most of these players will play and where big points are up for grabs. Brooksby proved himself very dangerous on North American hard courts and if he does well he might lock up a spot in Milan at the event.
