Juan Carlos Ferrero in bombshell news, set to return to coaching in 2027 but not with Carlos Alcaraz

Juan Carlos Ferrero has shown little indication of returning to the tour as a coach until now with the former coach of Carlos Alcaraz, who was unceremoniously dumped by the Spaniard, deciding instead to even go into golf.
But Ferrero, who stepped down in 2025, confirmed that he is considering a return to the tour as early as next season. After a year devoted to his personal life and not tennis as much as before, the former World No. 1 was clear about his intentions.
"It is very difficult for me to write this post," Alcaraz wrote in Spanish. "After over seven years together, Juanki and I have decided to end our time together as coach and player. Thank you for making my childhood dreams a reality. We started on this road when I was just a boy and for all this time you have been with me on an incredible journey, on and off the court. I have enjoyed every step with you so much.

"We have reached the top, and I think that if our sporting paths have to separate it should be from there, from the place we always worked for and aspired to reach. I have so many memories that it would be unfair to choose just one. You made me grow as an athlete, but more importantly as a person. The thing I value the most is that I enjoyed the process. I will never forget the journey we went on together.
"Now is a time of change for both of us, new adventures, new projects. But I am sure that we will approach them in the correct way, giving our best, as we always have. Always moving forward. With all my heart, I wish you the best for what is to come. I am happy I can say we always gave our all, that we gave each other everything."
Ferrero set for return
Albeit while it won't be this year, he admitted that he is very much in the mode that he is taking scope this year and deciding to have a year off the rigours of the tour.
Ferrero, however, did not wish to reveal any further details about the project. While he confirmed his desire for the tour, he kept that mystery alive regarding who he will look to join.
"This year, I'm very relaxed. I'm enjoying my family and preparing for what's coming next year," he said.
He then confirmed that he is planning to return to the tour in the new year, but that mystery was there as to who it will be with. After several years alongside Carlos Alcaraz, Ferrero will take a role, it seems, with another player.

His comments suggest that he is currently in discussions and knows where he is going. For now, he will keep the suspense. But will it be a big name or a new player aiming to reach the top?
"I think I'm going to come back on the tennis tour, but I can't say with whom," Ferrero added.

- WTA has been unfairly ignoring Elena ever since Wimbledon. Arguably biased against her. Same with the most major sponsors whom normally pounce on the Wimbledon Winners for sponsorship. Didn't happen. Her unfair treatment was always in Lena's subconcious; how she was largely ignored after Wimbledon. Her sister helped her a lot during that period. Next came illnesses and minor injury. A lot of time was lost, and physical (mental?) issues were frequent, as she fought through the absurdiy and general nonsense brought-on by her coach/partner. He was a Loser then, he's a Loser still. Although he has lowered his attitude, volume, and non-stop yapping from the box since he wore the organizations out with his non-stop legal letters begging for mercy and ultimately fully reinstated.
