Miomir Kecmanovic has won his first ATP title in the career after defeating Yannick Hanfmann in the final of the 2020 Generali Open in Kitzbuhel.

The 21-years-old Serbian didn't enjoy a successful US Open. He lost in the second round to Roberto Bautista Agut and moved to Kitzbuhel for the Generali Open on clay. After seeing the draw, Kecmanovic probably expected another fast exit, however, he fought in every match and battled his way to the final.
After defeating Kei Nishikori in the first round, Kecmanovic then outplayed Thompson, Delbonis, and Huesler to face Yannick Hanfmann in the final. The German was also enjoying a very good tournament as he reached the final after starting the tournament in qualifying.
The final match was very close. Although both players had breakpoints opportunities, one was far much better in converting them. While Kecmanovic used 3 out of 4 break points he had in the match, Hanfmann managed to convert only 1 out of 5 opportunities what was the main reason for a straight-set victory for the Serbian.
Kecmanovic triumphed 6-4, 6-4 in an hour and 18 minutes to claim his first ATP title in the career. This also means a shift in the ATP Rankings for him as he'll move to the 39th place what will be his career-best.
