WIldcards were confirmed for the
French Open which takes place between 28 May - 1`1 June which includes of course a lot of French players at
Roland Garros but also interestingly,
Thanasi Kokkinakis.
Kokkinakis would've only needed 12 more players to withdraw to get in through the main draw but was awarded the wildcard given by Tennis Australia which is a reciprocal wildcard given at both Grand Slams.
He joins the likes of Arthur Fils, Benoit Paire and Hugo Gaston in the main draw, with Leolia Jeanjean, Clara Burel and Diane Parry among the WTA stars given them.
"It feels great to be back on the clay, I feel like I'm playing well at the moment, and have some great memories playing at the French. I really appreciate getting the wildcard and can't wait to compete in Paris again," said the Aussie ace.
