Nick
Kyrgios and his girlfriend Costeen Hatzi revealed that they are leaving their
apartment, hinting at a return to the tour.
Kyrgios has
been off the courts throughout 2023. Despite being registered for the
Australian Open at the beginning of the year, he had to withdraw from the first
Grand Slam of the year due to a knee injury.
Since
dating his girlfriend Costeen Hatzi, the designer and influencer has regularly
accompanied him to tennis tournaments. They moved to Sydney at the end of 2022
and have shared aspects of their relationship on social media and in the
Netflix documentary Tie-Break.
This time,
the couple bid farewell to their apartment, which Hatzi deeply lamented:
"I'm
not ready to leave our home for 4-5 months," Hatzi wrote on her Instagram
story.
"It's
okay, b, we have each other. Also, flying around the world and traveling isn't
a bad problem, hahaha," Kyrgios captioned his Instagram story.
Although he
hasn't played since October 2022 in the Tokyo Open (withdrew in the
quarterfinals before the match against Taylor Fritz) and did not earn points
for the
Wimbledon final, the Australian remains high in the rankings as the
world No. 26.
A possible
return after the French Open excites fans, hoping to see Kyrgios back in action
at Wimbledon, where he came close to becoming champion last year.
